Les's Story

Life I am a friend of Bill W. and in my 44th year-Cl.+ Sober I spent a couple of years in the Merchant Marine in addition to the Army. As a sailor I traveled to many exotic ports.I don't know what happened to the rest of my posted story, but to continue. After college at U of D ] I taught school until I was no longer welcome there. Soon I was no longer welcome at any job or place except the cheap street Bars,Hospitals or Jail. My, not all sordid marriage to the bottle ended in near death. With recovery a whole new life began and continues. I was an Iron Worker while getting another degree then a Counselor- Therapist [Master's Level] for 30 years. Raised two kids one ...Expand for more
marriage two rehearsals. My wife of 20yrs and I moved to Mesa AZ from Tucson . Retired 13 years and wife retired 2013 . We are avid Cruisers- Travelers.. I am an incorrigible Philosopher. I read and write a lot and I am engaged in the publishing projects. I was a hunter and learned to love the desert and mountains. Less active last few years > medical etc. -better now. We are both practicing Catholics. [ having abandoned all religion for so long, the church and my program are now precious ] Health is pretty good. for old dude. My parents and Eileen, Rose Marie, Patrick and Terry are gone, we lost Maureen Easter 2018 leaving Catherine, Tom, myself. Keep the faith!
