Once upon a time there was an awkward girl named Leslie who didn't have very many friends while growing up...to say the least this has not changed. But the few that I did have were loyal and caring and loving which was the best thing that had happened since she had graduated. Leslie's childhood wasn't all that great, and for the most part she truely wished that she had been born into a different family. One that was more loving, caring and non-abusive of 'any' kind. As she grew older into an adult, then into a single mother of 3, she found that adulthood was just as hard as childhood for the exception that she was the one making the choices and decisions now and not the 'adults' in her life. Leslie realized that this was more difficult that being a child and being raised by parents that were divoreced and that were abusing you in one way or the other.
