Workplace
It's taken me a while to find my niche in the human services field, but I appreciate all of the experiences that brought me to where I am today. When I first graduated with my Bachelor's Degree, I worked for Forest Academy for Young Women in Wonder Lake. I provided direct care and counseling to adolescent girls with abuse histories and mental illness. That was very tough but rewarding. ental illness. I worked my way up to being supervisor of three group homes, while studying for my Master's Degree. I left Thresholds in 2001 to move to Pennsylvania with my boyfriend. While I was there I worked for Northwestern Human Services as a therapist. That was great experience, and I had a wonderful staff to work with. Unfortunately, Pennsylvania was not the place for us, so we came back to the Midwest and settled in Milwaukee. I am currently a the Supervisor and Therapist of an outpatient clinic working in Racine and Milwaukee.
