Leslie's Story
Life
After graduating from Tooele High School in 1964, I attended Snow College for two semesters then went on a mission for the Church to Hong Kong China and the Phillippine Islands. After my mission, I joined the U.S. Air Force and late in my career I became an Aircraft Maintenance Officer on T-33 (no longer used) and F-15 (Eagle) Fighter Aircraft. During my Air Force career, I learned how to fly and got my Commercial Pilots license. However, I never flew for a career. I flew only for fun which is perhaps the best kind of flying you can do as you can be any kind of a Pilot you want to be for the moment. I retired from the Air Force in 1990. I now (Nov 2001) live in Reno NV and work as a Phone Salesman at Summit Racing Equipment where I sell all kinds of racing car parts. Drag r...Expand for more
acing is our sport and we have some of the largest and fastest drag racing teams in the National Hot Rod Association (NHRA). We sponsor many of the big national drag racing events including the one week long SUMMITRACING.COM national drag race in Las Vegas NV each summer. I am happily married in my second marriage. I have one son (Charles) from my first marriage and he lives about 100 yards from me here in Reno. I have three beautiful Grandchildren. We get to Utah at least once a year for vacation and enjoy it every time. Life has been good to me over the years and I look forward to many more. By the way, I still have all the hair on my head that I had on graduation day, only it's now all gray. Does anyone know when the next class reunion is going to be held? Please let me know.
