Leslie's Story
Life
I am finally in a place in my life where I am enjoying myself. It has been said that your thirties are better than your twenties. I guess they are right! Am living in Las Vegas, NV where I have been for 13 years. Not living the sinful lifestyle, but a rather subdued one in the suburbs. I am currently married (got it right the second time-go figure!) to whom I consider the perfect man for me! I have twin 15 year old step daughters,a 21 year old step-daughter, and a one year old old grandson! I'm a grandmother! OMG! I have married into a great family. I have no children of my own, but I am not ruling out any possibilities at this point. It's a new life afterall. My true child will always be my sweet bassett hound, Daisy, who is now 12. riding, go hiking, travel, movies, concerts, shows (Vegas always has something), gym, and spending time with the family. I have re-connected with several old friends from high school in recent years and it's been great! Am looking forward to the 20 year Class Reunion in 2009.
Workplace
I am currently a social worker supervisor for a state agency in Nevada that supports individuals with developmental disabilities (mental retardation, autism, etc). I have been with the agency for 8 years and employed with the State of Nevada for 13. I am currently in a leadership training course that will give me a credential of Certified Public Manager. I intend to return to graduate school in 2008 for a Masters of Social Work (how I regret not doing it right away after undergrad!)
