Kurt & I were married in 1975. Children Sara (1980) David (1981) Josh (1985) and adopted Debbie (1989). We were protestant Christian missionaries in Japan from 1980 - 1991. I have been working the past 15years in the finance department at a Christian mission board office in Seattle, Mission to Unreached Peoples (MUP). The office moved to Plano, TX in 2010 so will be out of a job probably at the end of 2011. My newest venture is writing childrens books and trying to get them published. I also am half time assistant to the Finance Director of Discovery Institute, a non-profit think tank in downtown Seattle, known as the lead for researching and publicizing the science of Intelligent Design. Kurt teaches Japanese full-time at Eckstein Middle School in N Seattle. He worked full-time with MUP until he started teaching 11years ago, after getting his Master's in Education from Western. He is still on staff with MUP as a member of the Member Care team providing pastoral and emotional care to our missionaries. He is in charge of Member care for Japan and Korea and spends most of each summer in Japan. Sara graduated from Pepperdine University in 2002, taught for 2 years in the JET program in Japan , graduated from the UW Medical School in June 2008 and is into her final year of her 4 year residency at the UW Affiliated Hospitals.
