Leva's Story
Wow! so much has happened in the last mmm years lol. I married a sailor on Dec 26, 1981. This date happens to be my mom and dad's anniversary as well. They just celebrated their 50th and we out 27th. Being in the Navy we lived many, many places, from one coast to another, back and forth until 1995. From 1995 to 1998 we were stationed in Yokosuka, Japan. It was exciting and lonely at the same time. Ken was gone most of those 3 years. Then we came back to the states and we got stationed in Groton, CT. Ken retired in September 2001 after serving 24 years. Our Children: Holly (age 25), married in April 2006, had Joey in June 2007. in college and delivers pizza. Rebecca (age 25), came to us at 17 as a special needs foster child and we kept her. I became her guardian in 2002, and she changed her last name to ours and her middle name to Aunt Edna's, Marie. Joshua (age 21), Steven (age 19), and Andrew (age 18), came to us one at a time, they had been separated from each other for over 2 years. The were in the state DCF system. We were foster parents from 1999-2005. We adopted all 3 boys February 22, 2002. They were 8, 9, and 11 when they came to us. At home now is Ken, me, Ryan and Rebecca, and Andrew. Now that we are down to our last child in school, who just signed up for the Job Corps to finish high school and be trained for a career in computers. We are wondering why we are still here in this expensive state. We shall see...
