Levi's Story
Life
I did alot of transferring during my time in school, so I only felt it fair to list most of the schools I went to since I made some really good friends at each of these places. It is kind of funny how many schools I actually attended. I look back and laugh at the fact that I went to 4 different elementary schools in the 4th grade, not to mention that I went to a different junior high school for each grade- 6th,7th,and 8th.
The 2 and a half years I spent going to wilson/watkins, was the longest I spent with any group of students. The last two years of high school before I graduated were probably the most memorable. As for now, I am just comfortable in my existence with my wife and daughter. We are both college graduates ready to move on to bigger and better things. However, just recently we decided to do it in Florida, Orlando to be exact. So I will keep my profile updated.
*update...* I have been living in orlando for almost three years now. My daughter Morgan just started kindergarten 08/05, and that was pretty exciting. I am happy that I get to be the father of an amazing little girl.
*update...12/07* Well, I am now a permanent resident of Houston, Tx. My wife, daughter, and I moved back to the area in August of 06. Kim took a job transfer to relocate to the area and I eventually joined her company a few months later. My daughter Morgan is now in 2nd grade and is still amazing as ever. Kim and I built a brand new home in a beautiful master planned community and moved in March of 2007. Things have been great and I hope they continue to get greater. Wish everyone well being and happy times!
College
The best part of college besides graduating is that I met my wife there. We got married after my first year of school and shortly thereafter, we found she w...Expand for more
as pregnant. We are both still amazed that we graduated on time under our circumstances. Chalk it up to drive, determination, and perserverance.

I really can't believe how much a waste of time college was. Besides the aforementioned high points, what was the point? The answer is the piece of the paper that came with it. I believe that there is only a small percentage of college graduates that actually work in the field they desire when choosing a major. What gives.... I have a great career, but I don't use my degree and I don't use the second language I learned. But hey, I have the diploma.
Military
After serving four years of active duty in the Marine Corps, I decided it was time to attend school. I didn't want to let go of the military, so I joined the reserves. I thought it was too different so I didn't stay long. While going to Illinois State University, a high school buddy-(Brett Scott, Moline) convinced me to try the Army National Guard out. I did and it wasn't too bad. That was until they were activated to go to Germany for 8 months at the same time I was getting out. I didn't have to go, as I opted to graduate from college a few months later. I have often said that I don't think my military career is over. I am presently exploring other options, but who knows. I could go back to the Corps as an officer or even try my luck at a third service, Navy? Coast Guard? Air Force? Who knows?

Getting too old to re-join the service, but believe me... the fire burns hot inside me. I give my praise and comraderie to all my veterans and active duty brethern who are out there doing it now... you are in a class above all others and don't ever forget it. The sacrifices we make for the love of our country shall not be ignored. SEMPER FIDELIS
