Liana's Story
Life
I have a BS in Education / Library Science and an MS in Education / Instructional Media & Technology. Both of my degrees are from Edinboro University of PA. I have been happily divorced since Aug. 1992, and live with my 2 cats (Angus & Chloe). At one time, I was a EMT, certified in Basic Vehicle Rescue and Basic Trauma Life Support, with our local volunteer fire department. I also was part of our communitee's Juvenile Diversion Committee, working with first time youth offenders in the justice system. duate as its minister. I like to travel,when I can, but I also enjoying just sitting on my deck, with a good book and watching the wildlife in my backyard.
Workplace
Since 1983, I have been the middle/high school library/media specialist for the Union City Area (PA) School District. I am a past treasurer and president of the Union City Area Education Association and am active in PSEA on a local and regional level. Currently, I am our local's Vice President, and a member of various committees including our negotiating committee, the Student Assistance Team, the crisis team and the Safety Committee.
