Libby's Story
Workplace
When I was in school I was working for Hudsons at the Oakland Mall. I worked in the jewerly department and that is where I met Muriel Blackwood. We became friends and she introduced me to Michele Delia. I remember the first time I met Michele, we were in the bar up on 18 and Van Dyke and she poured a beer over my head. I was pissed off so I ordered another beer and poured it over her head. From that moment on we were friends. I remember every one moving out of the way cause they thought we were going to fight. t married and had children. Got divorced in 1987 and have remained single since. After Safeway I held odd jobs, waitressing, small time bookeeper, temp jobs.In 1992 I moved with my sister to Chicago and started to work for Target then got hired on at Home Depot. I also went back to school after taking a 13 year hiatus. In 1995 I moved back to Texas and transfered with Home Depot. I quit Home Depot in 2001, work and going to school full time and doing an internship plus raising 3 kids and one granddaughter was just too much for this old broad. Worked for a short time at a video game room and now work for the Fort Wroth School system. I like my job, I work with high risk kids between the ages of 11-13,. I am very busy at work and each day is a new challenge.
