Lillian's Story
Life
I graduated from Morris H.S. in 1978. I then went on to attend Adelphi University in N.Y. and received my Bachelors Degree in Social Work in 1982. After graduating from Adelphi, I got accepted into the Masters program at the University of Puerto Rico but decided I needed a break from school. I lived in Puerto Rico for a short time and then decided to come back to N.Y.C. In 1983 I started working in the social services field. In 1990 I got accepted into the Graduate Program at Fordham University and I received my Masters Degree in Social Work in 1992 while still working full time. I continued working in the social services field until 1994. I now work as a School Social Worker...Expand for more
with the N.Y.C. Department of Education. I decided to go into this field because I wanted to give back to my community. My first assignment as a School Social Worker was at Morris H.S. in 1994. I now work at a public high school in the Bronx. I must say that I have been truly blessed and so far my life has been rewarding.
