Lina's Story
Life
I married my high school sweetheart Matt Young (94) in 1999. We now have 2 sons. Ethan was born 3 1/2 months premature in July of 2004. He is now very happy and healthy. After 6 months of bedrest, Micah was born full-term in October of 2008.
My Pets
We have 2 cats. Their names are Shadow and Chloe. We got Chloe about 3 months after we got married. She came to us as a kitten. I got Shadow on my birthday a few years ago. We also have a dog named Maggie, who is a black lab.
School
I went to McGregor Elementary, Jefferson Jr. High and then Whitmer.
College
After high school, I went straight to Bowling G...Expand for more
reen State University, which I loved. I lived on campus for three years and commuted for 1 1/2 years. I graduated in December of 99 with a degree in Education. I then became a teacher. In 2005, I went back to BGSU to get my master's degree. My classes were actually held at Whitmer. I graduated in 2007 with a Master of Curriculum and Teaching degree.
Workplace
I am currently working for Washington Local Schools. I subbed there for about 3 1/2 years. Then I took a full time tutoring position at Shoreland and then I finally got a full time classroom job at Shoreland. I now teach 6th grade at Hiawatha Elementary.
