School In high school I guess I was a nerd, but a fun-loving, involved in stuff nerd!!!Right after high school I went to New Zealand for 6 months and that was the beginning of my travels!!!In my 20's I got serious about college and finished Eckerd College in Florida in 3 yrs..got married while there, but that only lasted 6 months...BIG MISTAKE...so I licked my wounds and headed to Nagasaki, Japan to teach English for a few years...Loved what I was doing and wanted to become better at it...so returned to the states and got a Masters in English as a Second Language at The School for International Training in Brattleboro, Vt....back to Japan, Tokyo this time...and this lifestyle afforded me trips to Okinawa, the trans-siberian RR across China and Russia and many trips to Europe to teach and visit friends...I was returning from Turkey on the day the Saddam Hussein invaded Kuwait..rather than be stuck in eastern Europe, I paid for a first class ticket to get back to the states asap... Spent years teaching in the public schools while living in Ocean City, NJ..Taught at the casinos at nite and had many private ESL students...I was the ESL Department head at Cape May Community Cege for a while, too. ...Expand for more
