Linda's Story
Life
Hi! Count me among the early semi-retired! I taught elementary school for 35 years, 11 in Des Moines and 24 in Estherville, IA. In 2005, I moved out to Vancouver, WA to be close to my daughter, Jill, her husband, Marc, and a very precious little grandson, Henry. Since then they have added another grandson and a granddaughter. Being a 'Nana' brings me more joy than I could ever have anticipated.
I am subbing for the Evergreen Schools and having fun with it most of the time. My husband, May...Expand for more
nard, is also semi-retired. We love the beauty of the Northwest and so far we haven't felt an earthquake!
We invested in an ocean place in Long Beach, WA. Our grandchildren delight in spending time with us on the beach.
I'm sharing a marvelous quote by Michael Landon: "Somebody should tell us, right at the start of our lives, that we are dying. Then we might live life to the limit, every minute of every day. Do it! I say. Whatever you want to do, do it now! There are only so many tomorrows."
