Linda's Story
Life
I married Scott Dawe, an Air Force man in '94 and followed him thoughout his career. He retired Feb. 07 after 26 years! Wow...I can't believe he served that many! But he decided to move on to bigger and better things...or he's waiting on me to keep him in the lifestyle he's grown accustomed to! LOL We are now living on the Mississippi Gulf Coast and I'm LOVING IT! I've got three kids! Can you believe that? Two handsome boys and a beautiful red-headed girl. They are 17, 16 and 13 now. Please email me here on Classmates and let me know how you are doing and please leave your name on my visitors page. I would love to see who has been checking in! Lots of love and hugs to you all. Linda
Military
I look back at the time that I spent in the military and I have to admit that I enjoyed the four years that I served somewhat, but got fed up toward the end with all the politics and b.s. that goes along with it. The military is a great place for some, but not...Expand for more
for someone like me who speaks her mind and doesn't keep her mouth shut. I met and worked with some very nice people, but also worked with some complete a**holes. You know, the ones that only look out for themselves and do nothing to get the people beneath them promoted. (i.e., writing packages for medals, or awards) Also, having a degree does not make a manager...if you know what I mean!!!!!!! And what about the brown nosers? You know the one's that are always following the commander around? There were some people that had their heads so far up the higher up's rears that if they were to cough, their necks would break. Now that I'm a military spouse, I see what kind of changes are going on in the military world, and honestly I don't like it! So, if I offended anyone, I apologize, but this is just my humble opinion. I know...."opinions are like buttholes, everyone has one and they all stink." So there, these are my thoughts on my time spent in the military.
