One of Linda's favorite quotes is:""When someone tells you, “I love you,” and then you feel, “Oh, I must be worthy after all,” that’s an illusion. That’s not true. Or someone says, “I hate you,” and you think, “Oh, God, I knew it; I’m not very worthy,” that’s not true either. Neither one of these thoughts hold any intrinsic reality. They are an overlay. When someone says, “I love you,” he is telling you about himself, not you. When someone says, “I hate you,” she is telling you about herself, not you. World views are self views—literally." — Adyashanti I can't rule the world, but I can control my part in it. Do not regret in growing old because it is a privilege to many. If death teaches you anything, it should be not to wait to do something until you are dying, do something for yourself or someone else, just do something. And one final thought to leave you with... The weather never changes in hell. For as gold is tested in fire, and so will love be perfected in pain, Love, an emotion so strong that you would give up everything. To just feel it once, to know that you are part of something special. L...Expand for more
ife is too short to wake up with regrets. So love the people who treat you right. Love the ones who don't just because you can. Believe everything happens for a reason. If you get a second chance, grab it with both hands. If it changes your life, let it. Kiss slowly. Forgive quickly. God never said life would be easy. He just promised it would be worth it. *~To speak truly, few adult persons can see nature. Most persons do not see the sun. At least they have a very superficial seeing. The sun illuminates only the eye of the man, but shines into the eye and heart of the child. The lover of nature is he whose inward and outward senses are still truly adjusted to each other; who has retained the spirit of infancy even into the era of manhood. ~Ralph Waldo Emerson~". More about Linda:"When you realize that life is really and truly what you make it, when that truth stares you straight in the face, you begin to choose differently. Wisdom does come with age & experience, as they say. It's just not until we're immersed in the thick of things that we figure this out. For me the feeling of being uncomfortable means "change" is on the horizon. The longer you remain in a comfortable place, the less likely you are to pursue the dreams that have nested themselves in your heart, dreams from long ago that made you smile in your sleep and tackle the day with certainty. I stepped back and looked at my life, which is not really where I ultimately envisioned it to be. To make things different, what do you do? How do you choose? I know I am a strong woman and I have the fortitude to charge ahead and make myself push forward. I have a new opportunity now to take a step, start a new journey and I'm going to embrace that. Time goes by so quickly and it doesn't discriminate. Enjoy every moment as deeply as you can.".
