Linda's Story
I guess it will be no surprise to those who knew me that I'm still into music! It's been my only, and lifelong, career. In the '70s and early '80s, my band toured as opening act on many major tours like Foreigner, Journey, Pat Benatar, etc.
My next band, "3 Speed" got signed to MCA records in 1985 and I co-wrote and sang the title song to Jim Carrey's first movie. You can find the MTV video of this on YouTube - websites are against the rules here but just add a "w" to the beginning of this: ww.youtube.com/watch?v=b0C3SV2ePGg
Boy, Hollywood sure made me look good in 1985 - not hard to do with 10lbs of makeup and an hour of fake ponytail attachment!
But now that I'm too old to be a "diva", ha ha, I have been mostly writing and producing and arranging for other artists, writing and producing advertising jingles for radio and TV, and songs for TV shows. The latest: a song on the second season of "B...Expand for more
rotherhood" (a Showtime series), and for an episode of "Young and the Restless".
I still live locally (Woburn/Stoneham line) and perform live 3-5 nights a week with 3 different groups:
The Tom Pittman Band (tompittmanbandcom) - Tom is a great singer and sax player and we do songs for age groups from 20-80 in local places (mostly the North Shore - see website).
The Paisley Project (paisleyprojectcom) - a '60s and early '70s rock band who plays every summer at the Hatch Shell, City hall Plaza, Center for Arts in Natick, and at major corporate functions and parties around New England.
The Soul City All-Stars - a 16 piece specialty show act that plays a few choice gigs a year all over the world.
My husband, Nick Antonucci, had a brain hemmorhage 2 years ago and has been hospitalized since. I'm keeping very busy to get through this, and it would be nice to hear from some of you after all these years!
