Linda's Story
I went to WV State College and then to WV College of Graduate Studies on scholarship. I worked as a secretary, a bookkeeper, and then in business saleswhile I was going to school and the early years of my marriage. Jim and I were married young and had two children in our twenties. We divorced after eight years. My daughter, Jamie and her husband Anthony, have two girls, Shayla and TJ. Shayla is 17 and a senior in High School. TJ is 8 year old and in third grade. My son, Nick, has one son. Jonus just turned 13 and started High School this year. I can't believe he's in the ninth grade already!
After I graduated from college, my first job was as a stock broker though I quickly realized that wasn't really my calling!! I went to the Internal Audit Department of the WV Department ...Expand for more
of Highways and found a much happier outlet for my skills. I stayed there for five years before moving to Michigan to set up an internal audit function for their Public School Retirement System in 1989. I moved from there to the Michigan Lottery and ret 1ired as their Internal Auditor in 2005.
After being single for several years I remarried while I was in Michigan. Chuck and I have been married eighteen years now. We love to travel (especially Mexico and cruises) and moved to Lakeland, Florida, in 2010. We've been remodeling our home on the inside and building a tropical paradise in the backyard for the last year!!
