Linda's Story
Life
Well, Well, Well...look what we have here. Yes it is I. With my crazy hair and bellbottoms too. Been married for 28yrs. to my military man (OMG! 28 years and we haven't killed each other yet. A few close calls though). He's from Santa Barbara, California(Dude!). We've made it through 2 wars (Desert Storm/Sheild, OIF) and 2 teen girls, I don't know which is worse sometimes. I'm a homeowner/Landlord for now. And at the moment most of my time is spent trying to restore our 100yr old home (the money pit!!). But I have a passion for anything old and antique!! And have become a Ebay junkie in the past few years. It's a great place to find what I need to renovate my home.
I'm in the computer graphics industry..more like digital pre-press.....nothing at all what they taught me in school. But I love it and wouldn't want to be anywhere else. I've been back to Whitney a few times in the past, and let me tell you, it's scary, not like it used to be.
That's about it. Hope all went well...Expand for more
with the rest of you! Linda......
Workplace
Came a long way since Whitney. From answering the phone at a Chinese restaurant in 1983(they needed someone that spoke english), to running a Digital Proofing dept. and maintaining the equipment and all the pc's and mac's (15 plus, not an easy task)at present. I've amazed myself with every step along the way. Never thought I could do half of what I'm actually capable of. And if it wasn't for a few good people along the way, I wouldn't be where I am today. (I hope you know who you are)
Well it's been a long road since high school. Many twists and turns and bumps along the way. Some times life is a bed of roses or it can be a handful a thorns. It never turns out the way you plan sometimes. So I guess it's time for me to come up with a new plan. At least i still have my girls. 24 and 26 now. What I wouldn't do for them and them for me. I'm so proud of the young women they have grown to be. I guess I did something right in my life time.
