Linda's Story
Hmmm well after high school I got married - went to U of T for 2 years studied Food Sciences.. realized I didn't like math and chemistry.. and decided to have some kids (now 49 and 43 years old) and do my art. I studied design at Koffler Centre for the Arts. At the same time I worked in the fitness industry for 10 years as an aquafit instructor while doing fabric art and stained glass while being a mom.
After that I became interested in Tai Chi. I studied with several fine teachers and have been involved for 30 years working at Parks and Rec, Toronto School Board, Baycrest, Etobicoke Services for Seniors,...Expand for more
and Richmond Hill Country Club. I still teach, but mostly to small groups or individuals. I wrote and illustrated a book:" Breathe: Tai Chi Qigong for Children".
I've published 3 childrens' books where I illustrated and wrote the stories. "Watermelon Kid, Ice Cream Kid and Pizza Kid" using watercolor painting. I also illustrated " Carly the Confident Caterpillar" using digital design.
I met my present spouse on the internet 20 years ago. I now do my art and design work manipulating my photography and designs digitally, learning watercolor painting.
My tai chi qigong page is followmetaichi. Dot com
