James's Story

Who would have thought a kid growing up in Lawndale would end up traveling around like this? Certainly not me! I was restless and adventuresome then. Even more so now. I use to think what do I want to do with my life when I grow up. Now I wonder what am I going to do with my life before I get too old to do it. My wife, Linda (nee Malmberg, Morningside 1965), and I finally got moving after I retired. The 1964 Innsbruck Olympics had made me want ...Expand for more
to see Austria, Germany and Switzerland. So that was our first trip in 2001. Since then we have gone back to Europe every year (sometimes twice a year). We have visited Christmas markets all over Europe and have become expert with the European rail systems. Life has become so much more interesting. We arrive home exhausted from one trip and the next morning we begin planning our next adventure. Happy travels to all. Hope to hear from you. Jim Ryan
