Linda's Story

Life I have been in Colorado for 35 years now, the time does seem to fly, how did we all get to be this age? I still have a good sense of humor and I would say that I am quite easy going. I have been a Psychiatric Nurse Practioner for many years and about five years ago went into Real Estate. I needed a break from all of the heaviness of the work that I did and had been in real estate in the 70's, so I went back to it and I am loving it. I enjoy all of the different people that I meet in this business and find it easy to work in this area and have had lots of fun. I was recently back home for my uncle's funeral and it has changed quite a bit. I don't get to Indiana often though. My older sister Jan, had cancer and I went back and forth to Indiana a lot that year and a half that she was sick, but I didn't have time to see anyone. I would say that you all would recognize me, but I am quite thin now so that may throw you off, my chubbiness is all gone, I guess I grew up and lost all of the baby fat!!! I am married to a great man and treated like a queen which is every woman's dream. He is a psychiatrist and works with Vietnam Veterans at the VA Clinic here in Colorado Springs. The two of us have four children and six grandchildren. I have enjoyed being a grandmother (Nana) and have found it to be the most rewarding part of my adult life. I have one granddaughter who is 6'1", beautiful of course and is quite the volleyball player. She is being looked at for colleges already and is just entering high school. I live near the Air Force Academy a...Expand for more
nd love the sound of Taps at night. The Rockie mountains are beautiful, but I miss the water, there are no large lakes here in Colorado, nothing as large as Lake Michigan anyway. I hope that we have another reunion as it would be fun to get together again and look back on old memories. I am finishing a novel which has already been picked up by a Publisher. It has some of you in it, or people who sound like you, but have different names of course. I'll let you know when it is coming out, then you can see if you are there. I think it's a good book, but I am biased. It is semiautobiographical as most first novel's are. It took a lot of patience to write it, but I am glad that I did it. In my spare time I raise German Shepherds, only the ones with good temperments, I don't want any mean ones out there. Then I train some of them for Shows and some for Obedience, it is a great hobby. While I do that I also play the piano and have been studying classical music since I was in the 4th grade. I bought myself a gorgeous baby grand piano and it makes playing even more enjoyable. On the side I do modeling and I am just about done with that career. I keep busy. If you ever come to Colorado Springs please let me know and I will be most happy to meet you somewhere or have you over for dinner, just let me know. I don't think that I have missed much, or let's say there is too much to put in here. I am busy and happy and would love to see any of you. Take Care of yourselves and I hope that life has blessed you with joy, love and prosperity. Linda Czech Young
