Linda's Story
After high school I went to the University of Illinois down in Champaign and spent the first two years studying engineering, then took a bunch of business classes before graduating in 1986 (yes, that was one year early) with a degree in Economics from the college of Liberal Arts. Since you can't do much with that degree I continued my education at Northern Illinois University where I got my MBA. I also took a lot of accounting classes and wound up taking/passing the CPA exam. de working too much. I quit all that in 1996 to be a stay at home mom (I have two wonderful boys). I went back to work, got divorced and am now currently in a job I love--I am the Assistant Director of Finance for the City of Aurora. When I am not working I spend time with the boys and am involved in their boy scout troop (yes, I even go on the campouts!!) Unfortunately I have lost touch with many of the people I knew from Maine South. I would love to catch up with any of my fellow classmates who are out there.
