Linda's Story
After graduation, I attended SCC for two years and received an AS degree in Mid Management. I had my son, Tony in 1970 and worked in Spokane until the fall of 1979. At that time I returned to college. I graduated from EWU with a BA degree in Sales/Marketing Education in 1983.
In the summer after graduating from college I moved to the Tri Cities because I met Burt and fell in love. We have been together almost 30 years. In 1984, I began teaching at Modern Business College which became Trend Business College. I taught many different business classes but I became their computer instructor. When the business college closed in 1993, I taught day long classes at WSU Tri Cities, classes for Columbia Basin College , Kennewick School District Community ed classes and Educational Service district #105 classes. Most of my teaching was computer classes to adults. I loved teaching.

ing bets on the horses, at a casino as a cashier and have even worked doing food demos at Costco.
About seven years ago, Burt choose to change locations with the job and moved to Ellensburg. I was still teaching and stayed in Tri Cities to finish my classes. I came to Ellensburg about six months later in June of 2006.
Ellensburg is a lovely little town. I am now working for Motel6 Ellensburg as their front desk supervisor. I like the town because there seems to be many activities at the college such as music recitals, theater plays and so I keep myself busy. I am also one the of volunteers for Jazz in the Valley.
Tony, my son and his wife, Dani, have four wonderful children and still live in the Tri Cities. I can't believe how old my grandchildren are: Lauren 18, Ethan 15, Brendan 13 and Owen 9. They grow up so fast.
Most of my family still lives in Spokane and I get up there about twice a year or so. I look forward to my times in good old Spokane.
