Miles's Story
Aug. 27 2015 - Hello classmates. Well a lot has happened in my life over the past year. Through self exploration, I learned I am transgender and need to transition to my true identity, which is and has always been male. My name and gender marker have been changed. My name is now Miles Alexander Immler and I am male. My medical transition will take years before all is complete but it is long overdue. I could not continue life the way I was. I don't care what others think. I don't need anyone's approval.
I've lead an interesting and rewarding career in radio. Now it's time to live the rest of my life as my true self, a man. My loving husband is with me for the ride. We've been together for nearly 17 years.

After graduating from High School, I went to Montgomery College where I majored in radio broadcasting and received my Associates Degree. Radio has dominated my professional life. Here are some of my radio highlights:

ation where I worked behind the scenes as a board engineer.
*I worked a brief part time position as a production assistant and weekend weather girl for the Capital Kids Radio Network (aka, the Radiozone) and a traffic reporter at Metro Networks.
*I conceived, wrote, produced and provided character voice work for a 4 time A.I.R. award winning Hot Talk radio program, "Frances & The Working Girls".
*3 years at Westwood One Radio Network as a board engineer and operations technician.
*14 years - present day, where I work as a broadcast operations shift supervisor for a newly merged satellite radio company. I'd rather not openly mention the name, but I suppose it isn't too difficult to guess which company I am referring to.
Some of the famous people I've met through radio include ... Paul McCartney, Buzz Aldrin, "Weird Al" Yankovic, Boy George, Kevin Bacon, LL Cool J, Adrian Cronaur, Gordon Jump, Ollie North, Al Franken and Hillary Clinton.
I'm currently living in the Northern Virginia area and am happily married to a radio guy. My hobbies include accordion, fitness walking, comedy and cooking.
