Linda's Story
Life
Immediately after graduating from REHS in 1975, I moved to Southern California with my family. I hated to leave the South, but wanted to stay with my family. I attended a college in Long Beach, CA and became a Registered Nurse. I went to work at Long Beach Memorial Medical Center where I continue to work part-time. I have just started a Master of Science in Nursing Program that I am enjoying.
I have been married twice, once in my twenties, and then again in 1987 to my current husband. We have two daughters who are 19 and 16 now. The 19 year old is in...Expand for more
college to become a teacher and still at home with us. We all enjoy camping and the girls grew up doing it at least once a month. We currently have two dogs and a new kitten.
My parents bought the home directly behind us last year and I love having them so close. They are not at all meddlesome and I can keep my eye on them. My mother's health has been poor for a number of years but she keeps on tickin' despite the lickin'!
Even though I have been in California for 32 years now, I still feel a special fondness for my Southern homes and the people I knew.
