Linda's Story
Well hereâs the long and the short of it. I graduated Balmoral and Crescent Heights H. S. and left Calgary shortly afterwards in 1965. I made my way to beautiful BC, then on to Ontario and the East Coast. After a 42 year absence, 2 plus 2 children, a second marriage and many wonderful adventures, I returned to the west in 2001 and have settled into a quasi retirement life in âthe Shuswapâ in BC. Through the years I have had a couple of memorable careers, one in fundraising and the other of which is still a great passion for me, I'm a die hard Antique Dealer. My business name is 'Storyteller Antiques' and the photo shows me sitting on the steps in front of one of my store locations on the grounds of R.J. Haney Heritage Village and Museum in Salmon Arm. adio station, guess you could say I wear more then one hat.
My husband has written and self published a wonderful children's book called 'Celesta's Magical Journey' which we hope will be on the 'best seller' list one day. We both are working diligently to promote our company, Aspire Books of which I am the Marketing Director. I'm also very proud to tell you that during November and December he is a very special visitor at the West Edmonton Mall. (Shhhh, don't tell the kids, but he's the mall's main Santa and a very good one at that).
And so it comes that at this point in my life I am hoping to reconnect with some of my old friends from Calgary and/or at least get caught up on 47 years of missed gossip. I have many fond memories growing up in that amazing city and Iâm happy to say that I have never forgotten my roots there.
