Linda's Story
Hi Friends, I am doing well. Mark and I are still married--47 years, which is a testament to my complacency. I got a bachelor's degree in nursing and worked until multiple sclerosis made work unworkable. Now I pretty much sit home and watch TV and read free books on my Kindle.
Two of my sons have died. I have a grown daughter, who is married and living a couple of hours north of us. She and her husband are raising my younger grandson. I am raising our older grandson, and he is a good kid. We love him and enjo...Expand for more
y his company when he has a few minutes for us. Mark's parents are in frail health, but his sisters are doing well. My Mom and Dad have been dead for years. My dear, dear siblings are all close to my heart, but none lives nearby. We talk, we text.
I enjoy my life. I am still in touch with a few friends from the good old days. I was heartbroken by my old bestie Janice's death last year. She wrote this in my yearbook just before I left MD to move to CA. "Keep smiling." I try.
