Linda's Story
After graduating number three in our class at Englewood in 1969, I went to college on sort of an intermittent basis (Beloit College, 1969-70; Chicago State University, 1975-76). I opted to go out into the work force instead of getting my degree. I eventually landed a nice position at the IRS where I stayed for a few years. three sons. I worked in this capacity for over twenty years when I finally decided to go back to school to attain my degree in accounting. I'm pleased to inform you that I graduated from Chicago State University with a baccalaureate degree in Accounting with honors in May of 2007!!! Now that my children are adults, I decided to close my tax practice and go out into the corporate arena. I accepted a generous full-time employment offer from a prestigious downtown accounting firm in July of 2007.
