College
I started out as an English major for my first two years at UCLA, but the focus of the department was far too pedantic for my tastes. I wanted something creative. Thus, I applied to and was accepted into the Motion Picture/Television department which was a total blast! I loved being surrounded by creative people even though I couldn't take the time required to land a job in the industry after graduation. nt to work at UCLA in Admissions deciding on the next crops of students to attend that great university! However, my son (who also changed his major from science to MP/TV) had the good luck to have my husband and me to support him in his year-long quest and is now Associate Producer of THE FBI FILES on the Discovery Channel! My daughter was an MP/TV major, but became disillusioned by the types of people in her department at Columbia, so is now a double major in Communication Arts and French.
