Linda's Story
After graduating from Porterville College, I moved to Washington DC to work for the FBI. I met my husband Mark while he was stationed at Quantico. We got married and moved to Toledo Ohio. I went to work for Owens Corning - a building materials company headquartered in Toledo. After earning my Bachelors Degree from the University of Toledo, I went into Sales for Owens Corning. We were transferred to upstate New York, and eventually to Dallas, Texas. We are "Texan...Expand for more
s By Choice", except when it comes to football. Since our only daughter graduated from the University of Oklahoma and she is a third grade teacher in Oklahoma City, we are "Boomer Sooner" fans, especially when they play the Texas Longhorns! I retired from Owens Corning after 38 years - surprisingly, for someone that seemed so defined by her career, transitioning into retirement has been very easy. Mark retired last year also and we are truly enjoying our "golden years".
