Linda's Story

Hi I hated school back then. I have furthered my education since then. Been thru 2 marriages and have 2 children. Since childhood my vacation destination is still the beach!!!! I like to go for walks and visit state parks, museums and watch educational shows such as: The history channel, Sc-fi, LIfetime, TCM and more. I enjoy most music. I have seen several 60's and 70's bands, been to Radio City several times and the best concert I have seen is Yanni in concert. I have spent most of my time in the area taking care of family members. My dad died of heart failure, mom of cancer and if any of you remember my mentally challenged brother Carl-he died in 2002 of multiple cancers. I very upset but, proad to say I helped him get his own place, a job where people loved him and allowed him to live as an individual in his last days. I have been in retail/management, adminastrative assistant, marketing, home care, real estate and now in work for a pharmacy. Life has challenges and without them where would we be today? I plan on going back to school for Business Law. Already have 3 certificates: 2 in business and one in law. What or where has your journey taken you? Linda Life is short. If you know anyone that died of cancer-Let's chat! exercise, meditation My best friend would tell you I'm funny, but people who don't know me very well would probably describe me as goofy. My dress style favorite is a dress, hat and matching jewlry. Volunteered for the VA, past commandar for 3 yrs with the Disabled American Vet. special olympics, pta at kids school and church functions. In 10 years, I hope to be rich and retired. I'm going to get there by getting my degree and working my butt off.. My first job was at a toy store, where I got paid minimum wage to a little more than that.. What I remember most about it is fun to check out the new toys and sell them!. Being able to ride my hobby horse. I always wanted to be a nurse when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a nutty idea. As it turns out, they were wron. meditate, exercise, take a walk If I'm going to work somewhere, I need to have my morning coffee, a flexible schedule, and my jacket to be able to deal with the day-to-day. I love my Philadelphia Phillies, hate all the soap operas and drama on t.v.. I watch educational programs. love my cat! Children are a gift from God. I learn from them and I am finding out that they have a terrific personality like I do! If I won $100 million, I'd give some to some local churches of it to housing for single families, then spend the rest on new homes, cars, vacation homes, money to my siblings and invest. My best friend would tell you I'm funny, but people who don't know me very well would probably describe me as helpful and kind. I like to dress up with a matching hat, handbag, and jewlry. I use to volunteer for special olympics, I have certificates from phila. VA hospital for volunteer work, past commander of the Disabled American Vet. for 3 yrs, did volunteer work for hospice, pta, Lions Club. In 10 years, I hope to be rich and retired.
