Lindi's Story
UPDATE **2019**more life changes, met an amazing man in September of 2018 and my son made me a Grandma in October of 2018. In February 2019 I moved to Florida to be with my love to start a life together... we recently celebrated our first year together. I’m starting a new job next week. Starting over at this age seems crazy, but I’m also the happiest I’ve ever been in my life!!
UPDATE**2014*** it's amazing how life changes.. Been separated for about 2 years, I now have 3 cats (Dandi, Allie & Bazinga), I also have a dog (Sheldon). My son Mike is now 25 and Married to my wonderful daughter-in-law Kendrea this fall. I'm still working for the same wireless company, 8 years now.
It's amazing how being in a relationship can make you lose your way on who you are. I intend to spend the next couple years just figuring out my life and not being so busy concentrating on keeping everybody else happy... since I was 17 I've been tied down and controlled in a relationship...from the 1st marriage to the 2nd I've never been allowed to just be me...now I'm not sure who me is anymore! I'm taking time to find myself, so I can be me if any relationships develop in the future...It's My turn and my time for now :) My 2nd husband are I are still good friends, we just can't live together.
All in all life is good, I have a wonderful son & daughter-in-law. A nice home, reliable car, good job (I don't love it, but it pays the bills), much unconditional love from the furry kids, many...Expand for more
good friends. I'm still trying to learn how to break away from the isolation concept that I've learnt over the years... It is difficult but I have begun to overcome!
I've learnt that you can never go home...where you are is home. People will say and do things that causes you to lose faith and trust in everyone... I'm working on that too. The life of social media has caused everyone to portray lives full of fallacies...the grass is not green on the other side...look at what you do have, be thankful, embrace it, and stop worrying about what everyone else has. Love and be loved, what a world this would be if we all just followed that concept!
**Old news** My family moved from Edmonton in 1996 to a small community just outside of Victoria BC, where we lived for 8 1/2 years, from there we moved to Florida. I seperated from my 1st husband in 2003 after 20 years. I moved to South Carolina and remarried 7 years ago to My husband David. I have been living in South Carolina for the past 8 years. I have a 22 year old son who Graduated from college in 2010 with his BS Degree in Film Making. After college he moved back to Vancouver in November of 2010. I have spent my whole working career in the customer service/executive/administrative support field since I was 17 years old. I currently work for a major wireless company in the finance department. We have 2 cats (Dandi & Allie)...I love it here in South Carolina...but really miss the mountains from back home!!
