Lindsay's Story
Life
After leaving high school I went on to complete a Bachelor of Music and a Bachelor of Education at Queen's University. These five years were absolutely wonderful. I met many great friends as well as my husband at Queen's. My husband and I were married on August 6th, 2005 and are currently living in Port Perry. I just finished my first year as a junior vocal/intermediate instrumental music teacher in an elementary school and will be continuing there in the fall.
College
In May 2004, I completed a Bachelor of Music degree at Queen's University in Kingston, Ontario. During my music degree, I had the most amazing time, learned more than I ever thought I would and met the most incredible people. I was given more opportuni...Expand for more
ties than I ever thought I would have including opportunities to perform in choirs, chamber ensembles, as an accompanist and at a variety of Queen's events. I was also able to be very involved in Christian ministry (Campus Crusade for Christ in particular) which was a great blessing. I had fun living in residence and also lived in a house on Johnson St. for three years. My social life was great and I was able to see many concerts, plays, and go on fun trips. I then completed my Bachelor of Education at Queen's University (in the Artist in Community Education program) in May 2005. This was also a very inspiring and enriching year. The people were awesome and the experience helped me get on my way in my career as an arts educator.
