Lisa's Story
Life
I have been married for 9 years to a wonderful man who is a firefighter. We have a daughter who is 5 and a half years old and is spoiled rotten. I work in the narcotics department at a drug wholesale company. I have been here 7 and a half years. I love what I do. My daughter was diagnosed with juvenille diabetes in August of last year. It came as quite a shock, seeing how she was a normal, healthy four year old. However, over the last ten months, we have learned to adapt, and we are doing as good as we can with it now. d now puts in her own site since she has been on the pump (about two months). It has been an adjustment for all of us, but we just tell ourselves that we can handle it because if we couldn't, then God wouldn't have gave us this. I know we will be fine.
We live in Spartanburg, South Carolina where I moved after my seond year in college. I met my husband down here at Myrtle Beach and it was love at first sight. Like I said earlier, we have been married for nine years this May, but we have been together for ten. I would not have done anything differently in my life. I am completely happy. I found my husband, I found my life, I found God, and I was given my daughter. I could not ask for more.
