Lisa's Story
Life
Well, after I graduated from high school in 1999, I went onto college at St. Joseph's College in Rensselaer, Indiana for a year. I started working at Hartsfield Village in Munster, Indiana and was living out in Portage, Indiana for about 6 months. I moved back home with my parents in 2000 and took some time off from work and everything to get my life back in order.(bad relationship in Portage)
I started working at BP Connect in Munster in July of 2001 and continued to work there until May of 2002. In that same month, I found out that I was pregnant with my son and ended up quiting my job because of disagreements with my boss.
I gave birth to my son, Ryan Christopher Block, on Tuesday January 21, 2003 at 10:27p.m. after a total of 51 hours of labor. I have been home with him enjoying him being little since May of 2002. wel Osco in March of 2005 and started working at Walt's Food Center in Dyer.
My boyfriend Joe and I found out in May of 2005 that we are expecting our 2nd child in December of 2005. We recently were told that we are having another boy, unsure about the name at this time. We are going in on December 19, 2005 for a scheduled c-section instead of waiting until labor begins. WE want to have him before Christmas so we can be home for Ryan.
We are just enjoying spending time with each other and Ryan. WE absolutely can't wait to meet this new little person.
Since last posting this, a lot of things have gone on. Joe(Nicholas's father) and I broke up and we haven't seen each other since he was 6 weeks old. I am back in college at Kaplan University for Early Childhood Education and am a daycare teacher at Happy Days Child Care and Learning Center in Highland. I love being there and working with the children everyday.
