Lisa's Story

It's been a long strange trip. Since I left high school I've been a gas jockey, bookkeeper, GM parts person, sandwich artist, shipping clerk, skydiving instructor, parachute rigger, skydiving equipment salesperson, manager of a skydiving equipment online/phone sales operation, owner/manager of a skydiving equipment retail store (in Florida... hurricanes suck), and a cutter/pattern maker for a skydiving jumpsuit company. I'm currently a skydiving instructor at SkyDance Skydiving in Davis, CA. I graduated from SCC with 2 AA degrees (History and Social Science) in May, 2010, and will be transferring to Sac State to pursue a BA in Government as soon as they stop raising the tuition every few months so I can plan how much I need to save. in red cups, slacklining, the internet, reading, writing and learning how to take decent pictures using the manual settings on the camera. So far I've visited 40 of the 50 states, including Alaska. Had three vertebrae in my lower back fused in 2001. Earned a world record in 2002 when I was on a 131 woman freefall formation over Perris, Ca. Spent the summer of 2003 road tripping around the US. Hiked over 100 miles on the Pacific Crest Trail through northern California in June and July of 2008 (search my name on trailjournals dot com for my journal). Family includes my grown son (David), Border Collie (Molly), and the most amazing life partner I could have ever hoped for.
