Lisa's Story

Life After I graduated from Taylorsville I attended the U (briefly) I married my husband Bruce who is from Idaho and a real cowboy. We had three children, BJ who is now 15, Mekynzie is almost 14 going on 20 and my baby Gina is 12. My family is everything to me and they take up most of my time. We live in the middle of Utah on a Ranch in a town of 200 and I have learned (kinda) to be a country girl(comic relief to most, including my hubby who just grins when I am trying something new) I love it! I also chased my dream to be in the medical field and started as a CNA then went to Medical Assisting and Now finally I am a EMT and run for our county ambulance service. I am a CPR instuctor as well and do a lot of community work. I work for the state test team, we give practicals to EMT's just completing thier courses. h I am pursuing now and will be the County Coordinator but I will also be certified to teach EMT classes anywhere in the state. I love old cars, old movies, keeping in touch with old friends, and old things in general. We have all kinds of animals on the ranch and my husband is a Deputy Sheriff, EMT, and Trades horses when he is not on one or under one shoeing it. We have about 60 head of cattle after downsizing because of the drought and the workload. We love company over and we always have the kids friends at our house. I joke about having a boys ranch without all the red tape. Some of you know I had health problems and about 7 years ago I had open heart surgery, It went well and I feel great. I am stubborn too!
