Lisa's Story
Life
Hey everybody! I am substituting in Mt. Olive and Roxbury School districts as of October '07. I moved back home to save money, to sub, to apply to graduate school, and to help my mom take care of my dad. Dad was dianosed with cancer in May. The meds he was on really didn't work and he passed away in December '07.
On a lighter note, I'm a proud aunt to three nephews: Brady-9 yrs Jake-6 yrs and Luke almost 3. I'd love to hear from you guys, either from MSJA, Villa or from Marywood. Take care!

School
Well during middle school and high school I started to find my mouth and speak up. By the end of college, I couldn't shut up--ask my roomates! Most of you can't imagine me quieter than I was, but it was true.
I have some great memories from 7th and 8th grades at MSJA. The school-wide trips to Lancaster, Pa and Boston, Miss Bueso, Miss Carroll, Mrs. Boyle, Sr. Mary Austin (and a Social Studies class that gave the impression I was confused about the leader of the U.S. but I really just...Expand for more
wasn't paying attention and thought we were talking about the leader of the PLO--sometimes it's a curse to have such a good memory), Sr. Mary Eugene, the Christmas concerts, drama class, Christmas Carolling, and many other memories. I still can't listen to "You Ain't seen nothin' Yet" by BTO and not picture Amy D'Andrea dancing in her afro, wax lips, and 70's outfit!
Villa was great as well. Freshmen Bio was fun because I was one of the only students Miss B didn't throw chalk at! Then again sophmore Chemistry with Dr. Wallace was not one of my favorite classes. Being in the plays was a blast, though no starring roles for me.
:-) Having the Italian girls come and stay, the senior lounge, and study halls. the volleyball tournaments, my little sisters and my blue taxi that started smoking from the engine junior year and Sr. Pat announced it over the PA. Being the "school spirit" with Marin, leaving candy in people's lockers during spirit week, getting "carded" at Chucky Cheese--poor Meghan!
