Lisa's Story
School
I started school at Saint Columban's, but moved to LaPuente and enrolled into Saint Martha's after my parents divorced in 1983. I graduated from Saint Martha's and was accepted into Bishop Amat. I went to Amat for one year until my father refused to pay for my tuition due to my declining grades. I enrolled into Workman and stayed until my senior year. Military
I was on Active Duty from 1993 to 1995. I did my basic and AIT at Fort Jackson in South Carolina. I was then permantently stationed at Fort Hood, TX. where I remained until I got out in late 1995 on a pregnancy chapter. In 1997 I moved to Cedar Rapids, Iowa to attend college and in 1998 I joined the Iowa Army National Guard. In 2002 I spent some time in Vicenza, Italy with my unit. I am currently still in the Guard.
