Lisa's Story
Life
I moved to Santa Barbara in '75 to attend Westmont College and graduated('79)with a B.A. in Psychology. I've been married 33 years to my husband, Tom, and have raised our family in the Santa Barbara area. We currently attend Santa Barbara Community Church. We have two adult (out of the nest) children: Carla,age 27, and Derek, age 25.
After working for 5 years, I was blessed to have had the opportunity to stay at home full-time with my kids, and I homeschooled them through the 6th grade before putting them in regular junior high. Now I'm a substitute teacher for ...Expand for more
a local elementary school district, do tutoring on the side, and teaching Cooking Camps to children in my home. I'm currently singing in the SB Choral Society, including the experience of our singing tour to Italy and Germany in summer of '07. Our latest news? We have recently had the ABSOLUTE JOY of becoming grandparents to baby Noah!
My parents left HB 17 years ago, but my entire side of the family has been meeting every year on Memorial Day (for the last 30years) at the HB Central Park for a family reunion. We hope to keep the HB heritage alive! Stop by sometime....
