Lisa Lackey:  

Life Lisa Lackey aka Lisa Ashby: Born and raised in Houston Texas. After attending the High School for the Performing and Visual Arts and Madison, I left for college in California. I returned to Houston in the 80's and studied Interior Design which is my current profession. I started Design Solutions in 1988 and have been active in both commerical and residential design. Divorced with no children, I have been involved with animals and animal rescue for many years. I aquired my first afghan hound "pet" as a rescue 25 years ago. Ten years later I began raising championship afghan hounds competing in dog shows on a grand scale traveling across the USA. One of my dogs "Mozart" who is now dubbed a Celebrity Pet, was ranked #3 by the AKC in the USA in 2002-2003 and has competed at the Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show in NYC several times. We have made several television and media appearances including NBC's Today Show with Katie Couric, Good Morning America, Letterman, Animal Planet, etc. Mozart has been featured on the Front Page of the New York Times, in News Week, The Post, The New York Daily News, etc. He has made numerous public appearances for charity events and photo opportunities but has never been given a key to the city.....although he doesn't need a key as far as he is concerend! He is now retired and living a dogs luxury life in the comfort of my home with my other afghans. This is supposed to be my bio but my life has/had gone to the dogs for years....Expand for more
