Lisa's Story
Life
After graduating in June of '96, Michael Malone and I got married in August of '96. I still sing (in the shower). And dance (around the house). And act (like a loon...but that's what the meds are for). 4 kids...and many fun years later...it's been up, down, and all around - but, all and all, a great life!
Well as some of you may already know, Mike almost died this last October. He came down with what I thought was the flu, and a few days later in his delirium he begged to go to the Emergency Room. Mike was taken off in the ambulance and admitted into ICU. He had heart failure, his lungs were filled with fluid and his liver was in trouble. Final diagnoses was Lamierre's Disease. What a battle this has been. But as I always say...I am grateful for all of the bad things that have happened in our lives. s still willing to whisk me off to have amazing date nights. Although tired in the end, we will keep on plowing through this life of uncertainties. Treasure each day. Treasure one another.
School
Well...I would have to say that my biggest crush was Mike Malone (the man I am happily married to today). Which teacher inspired me most...well, if I went to class enough I guess I may have become inspired. I can surely remember who yelled at me the most. If I could do it all over again, and return to my current age after graduation, I would. I would have turned in the finished homework that I always had stuffed in my bag somewhere. My most embarrassing school memory was when I was supposed to do a dance number with white pants and I had on black underwear. The borrowed pants split in the crotch during the number and my brother lifted me up in the air, and spun me around. The cameras flashed, the people laughed, and a picture was rumored to be posted on the front board of the school for all to see. Yeah...lots of moments like that! But, I have learned a lot from high school. Even with all of the ups and downs, there were some pretty fun times.
