tory came out. Fear? Well, probably every Bandie has a Peter Pappas memory. Gawd, he was scary up there on that ladder with that megaphone, wasn't he? Didn't we dread hearing him scream our names for our legs not being high enough or turning wrong or God knows what. One thing, though. We sure learned discipline. It is to his credit that we all obeyed as well as we did, really. As I look at my own children and my own students, I wonder how he did it. On the other hand, perhaps it is really our parents there, who supported him and his iron baton. Things were different then. Why is it that so many of OUR generation are such lousy parents when it comes to personal responsibility and making our kids own their actions? I guess that makes us old, doesn't it? We are actually thinking "In MY day..." LOL.
