Life After graduating in June of '96, Michael Malone and I got married in August of '96. I still sing (in the shower). And dance (around the house). And act (like a loon...but that's what the meds are for). 4 kids...and many fun years later...it's been up, down, and all around - but, all and all, a great life! Well as some of you may already know, Mike almost died this last October. He came down with what I thought was the flu, and a few days later in his delirium he begged to go to the Emergency Room. Mike was taken off in the ambulance and admitted into ICU. He had heart failure, his lungs were filled with fluid and his liver was in trouble. Final diagnoses was Lamierre's Disease. What a battle this has been. But as I always say...I am grateful for all of the bad things that have happened in our lives. In our financial strains, we have become humbled to those reaching out to us. In our emotional strains, we have accepted prayers and beckoned to those willing to listen. In our darkest hours, close friends have known that they were meant to call or drop by. Mike hasn't completely fought this fight, but he has finally returned to work. And i...Expand for more
