Life I married during my senior year in high school (Pacific), but later went back and got my diploma. I then took the SATs to gain entrance to Cal State San Bernardino which was a State College at the time. The year I graduated with a BA in English (1985) we became a University. While at Cal State I worked in the Computer Center doing Public Relations work, and as Executive Editor of the Cal State Chronicle. I tried teaching for awhile, but decided that was not my calling. I loved the kids, but disliked the pressure and politics from both parents and administration. I ended up working as Vocational Manager at a Job Corps Center for several years before moving on to Sales and Marketing for a Medical Group and then a Provider Relations Rep with an insurance company. From there I ended up working as an Employment Specialist, where I became a Supervisor before I retired and came to work as Executive Director of a faith-based, non-profit. I guess most people don't end up doing what they thought they would, do the? We now have five grandsons and one grandaughter. Our sixth grandson is expected to arrive any day. All but three of our grandchildren live in states other than California, so we don't see them as much as we'd like. We've discovered as have many, that being a grandparent is fabulous! No one ever tells you how great these little people are to have around. My husband and I do Pro-life work together. He has retired from Sales and I from Public Service.
