Lesa's Story
Life
I think life is a heck of a lot of fun, even when it turns out differently than you planned. I thought I'd be happily married with a couple of kids at this point in my life, but that is not what I've got, but I love it anyway.
I started college at the University of La Verne in La Verne California. The best thing about the school was it was 1500 miles from home in Seattle. I only stayed there the one year, but I learned a lot about myself while there, so it still has a special place in my heart.
I finished out my college career at Western Washington University, earning a degree in Biology. But graduating in December of 1990, there just weren't a lot of jobs to be had, particularily in biology, so I worked where I could -- mostly the retail that I did putting myself thru college.

I mostly like the fact that I have done so many different things. But then, sometimes, I think that it would be better is I had been more focused, because then I would be more established financially than I am now. That wasn't my life and that is ok. There are benefits to my varied experiences too; I just have to be on the lookout to see them.
Been married - twice. Both times I didn't do a very good job picking the men I married so I can't exactly blame them that it didn't work out. I had a baby with the second husband, but there was a genetic problem and we lost him at 21 weeks gestation. Now I have accepted that having my own biological child isn't in the cards for me -- but I do have a lot of love to give the children that are in my life now and who may be coming into my life. . The new man in my life is 16 years my junior and he wants kids too -- there are a lot of different ways to be a parent, and we are open to all of those possibilities
