Lisa's Story

Hi, I have been living in Sweden since July 2001 with my boyfriend, Mats, and our two children, Alexandra (9-01) and Elias (7-04). I have been lucky enough to be home with my children this whole time, except when going to school part-time to learn Swedish and starting work Aug. -09. I am currently working as an aid/interpreter for two American boys, ages 8 and 10 at my daughter's school. I go with them to their classes and help them understand what's going on. I will slowly be phased out as they learn Swedish. Yep, I'm bilingual. I can't believe it myself. lol I have to say Spanish is much easier to learn than Swedish. My kids are bilingual, too. t my 8 year old girl. It doesn't matter if I spell it out in English or Swedish, she gets it. I need to train Mats in piglatin, so we can stay on top of things. After my job ends (soon), I am starting up a business. I will be working as a Reiki practitioner. I love it and helping others. I turned to Reiki when I was diagnosed with Dercum's Disease (an orphaned, chronic, incureable disease), because there is nothing to be done for my by allopathic medicine. I get some relief from Reiki, special diet, and supplements. I'm telling you I should have been born a hippie. Well, I am not that bad, really. I am a happy, destressed person nowadays and it's a great feeling. --Lisa
