Lisa's Story
Well, I started out at So Utah Univ, but that only lasted a year due to a horrible roomate situation that made me dislike the whole experience. So, like many other people, I returned to UNLV to finish up my BS in Secondary Education. I have been teaching for CCSD ten years now, and really do love my job (just not the pay). I am a Social Studies teacher, primarily World History... thanks to Spiegelmyer's (Cannon 9th grade) influence. I started in da'hood at Bridger JHS, went to Centennial for a number of years, where I was a yearbook advisor (thanks Barlow- GVHS), World History teacher and Varsity swim coach. Presently I am wrapping up a two year stint at Chaparral (World History AP, Honors and Regular) and will be moving closer to home to Palo Verde (US History, tentative and if any of you had Phillips at Cannon for History he is my Principal next year) for 08-09. I got smart and retired from coaching a few years ago, but still love the sport so I am now an official.

and parent conferences I managed to get my Masters in Education Psychology, get additional teaching endorsements in Comupters and Driver's Ed (no, my dricving hasn't gotten any better), travel to Europe (twice), Peru and China.
I own a condo in the SW part of town near the 215, and am pretty content and stress free. I have had a few people ask, so... no I am not married and I have no kids. I have just been a little too wrapped up in work and school to give any relationship a true effort... though I have come close. I do spend plenty of time with my family here in town... Mom and grandmother, cousin Chad (Clark HS 94) and his wife Terry (GVHS 94) and two adorable kiddos. My Dad and family is now in DC instead of Boston and step mom and sisters are doing wonderfully and I am fortunate to visit them a minimum of twice a year.
It would be great to reconnect with people I knew in HS. To be honest there are only two or three that I do keep in touch with now. If you want to reach me email me here or just pick up a phone book :-)
