Lisa's Story

Life After Graduating High School, I got a job at Jeep in 1985...it was there I met my husband. We started dating and married in 1987. I had my first son in 1988 and my second son in 1991. I was married to Greg (Whitmer class of 1977) for 14 years when he passed away in December 2001. So since then I have tried to be mother and father to my 2 boys who were 10 and 13 when they lost their dad. It has been a long road but overall I feel I did a good job with them, they are good respectful boys, and I am very proud of them. It was difficult being a widow at such a young age, but with the strength that God has provided me with, I have been able to make peace with my life and move forward. I have been so fortunate to have met a wonderful man, who is kind and sweet and treats me very well. He has a great sense of humor, very smart, and an overall good person...Expand for more
. He makes me laugh, treats me with respect, and makes me feel special. I am thankful to have him in my life. The boys like him too and that is important, of course they like him, because like me they are able to see just how special he is. I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia, several years ago, so I spend much of my time in pain, but I try not to let it get to me and make the most of my life. I still live in West Toledo, my mother move to Texas several years ago, and my sister moved to Florida a few years back, so just my brother and myself still here in town. I am a Reality TV junkie... I love to watch Big Brother, Survivor, Hell's Kitchen, American Idol. I know it's corny but it entertains me. I have recently taken up my old hobby of photography. I am really enjoying this.
